Prowl paced back and forth in his room. “I’ve got to tell her.” He muttered to himself. A few days had passed, and Prowl was getting crushed by the weight of his own feelings. He had to tell Siren.

Siren sat in her room, gently stroking the bird on her window sill. Three eggs now sat in the nest, and Siren sighed.

“Siren?” Prowl asked.

“Y-Yes?” Siren asked as she turned around.

“…Can I talk to you for a moment? Privately?”

Siren nodded slowly, trying to figure out what he wanted to tell her. He shut the door behind him, and turned back to her. “I… I wanted to ask you something…”

Siren nodded again. She felt her spark jump a little, and she looked at the floor. “W-What did you want to ask me?”

“Well…” Prowl began. He wasn’t sure what to say. He hadn’t really planned this at all. “I…wanted to know if you’d like to travel to Dinobot Island with me tomorrow.”

Siren’s eyes widened in surprise. She wasn’t exactly expecting that, but she nodded. “S-Sure.”

Prowl nodded a little, and nearly ran out of the room. Standing in his room, he thought bitterly, ‘I can’t ask her!’
*********
Siren and Prowl didn’t talk on the way to Dinobot Island the next day. The silence weighed heavily on the two as they walked around the island. Finally, Prowl worked up the courage.

“Siren..!”

“Y-Yes?” She replied nervously. They both stopped walking, and Prowl turned to her.

“You… you can make as much fun of me as you want. But I have to ask you this.” He paused, and made eye contact with her.

“Do you… like… me?”

Siren froze. She had felt this coming, but was trying to avoid it. She looked away. “T-That’s… stupid.”

“Huh?”

“You… shouldn’t like me. I’m twisted.” Siren replied. She clenched her fists, and closed her eyes tightly.

“What? You’re not-”

“Yes I am.” Siren replied. She looked sadly at him. He looked confused. She shivered. “I am twisted. Everything that comes to care about me… always has an awful ending. My friends…” She stopped, and shouted, “I’m the reason they’re gone!” She shook violently. “They all died… because of me. Nirtostorm, Electroburst, Shock, and Screecher. They’re all dead. I’m the reason!”

Siren’s eyes turned that startling shade of green again. “I… I let them all die.” She finally said as she turn and began to run, disappearing down the path.
********
Blackarachnia smiled as she saw the retreating figure of Siren. “Everything is going as planned, Swindle.”

“Brilliant, Blackarachnia.” He replied with a grin. “They’re ready.”

“What’s even better is that we know their names now.” Blackarachnia whispered. “She deserves this so much.”

“And you’ll be enjoying it every minute.” Swindle added. Blackarachnia gave him a small kiss on the cheek.

“Exactly.”
********
Siren hated this. Running away, that’s all she ever did. She always had an excuse for her faults. She hated it so much she could taste it. She came across a clearing, and collapsed to her knees. “WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME, PRIMUS? I’VE SUFFERED ENOUGH, WHY DO YOU ENJOY TORTUEING ME?”

“Maybe it’s punishment?” a voice offered.

“Maybe, or he’s just messing with you.” Another said. Siren looked around. Four figures emerged from the edges of the forest.

“Seriously, Siren. You know the reason.” Electroburst mused. Screecher nodded in agreement.

“Yeah, Electro’s right!” Shock chirped. Nitrostorm laughed.

“W-What..?” Siren whispered as she saw what looked like her friends. They were slightly beat up, and instead of their normal blue optics, they were a purple.

“You left us there to die, Siren. No wonder you’re treated like this.” Screecher said sourly.

“Why’d you leave us there, Siren?” Shock asked as he took a few steps towards her. Siren scooted back.

“No… I can’t be you… no!” she muttered as she clamped her hands over her audios. “NOOOOOOOOOOO!”
********
Everyone at the Autobot base heard Siren’s scream. Prowl heard it on the path he was on, looking for her. They all knew who it was, too.

Optimus and the Autobots where at Dinobot island in less than ten minutes. Prowl was searching for Siren, but she had covered her energy signal. “SIREN!” he shouted.

Siren’s friends all turned in the direction of the shout.

“You even broke your promise to us. How pathetic.” Screecher said. She turned to Siren, and said, “Haul her to her feet. Let’s have some fun with her.”

Blow after blow, Siren felt the pain, but couldn’t do anything about it. She couldn’t fight back. She just stared at the ground.

“How’s that feel? Getting abandoned by your friends, getting beaten to a pulp, it’s all fun until you get hurt.” Nitrostorm taunted.

“Siren!” Prowl exclaimed. He tore past the trees and bushes. “LEAVE HER ALONE!”

“Oh, a friend to come save you?” Electroburst asked with false sweetness in his voice. “Well, I can take care of that.” With a quick movement of his arm, Prowl was knocked unconscious and crashed to the ground. Siren screamed.

“PROWL!” she wailed. She struggled to get free, but Nitrostorm held her in place. Electroburst continued to beat Prowl, until Siren could hardly pick up his energy signal anymore. His colors began to fade. “PROWL!”

“How does that feel?” Screecher asked. Siren still struggled to get free.

“L-Let me go! Prowl…” Siren said. Nitrostorm gripped her arms tighter. She tensed up, and felt herself get angry. “LET ME GO!” She shouted as she ripped herself free. Her arm was ripped off in the process, and Nitrostorm held it in his hand, stunned. Siren glared at him, and he dropped it un-expectantly.

“…Siren?” he whispered. He could tell she was upset. No, not upset. Enraged.

“I swear to Primus, I’ll kill you.” She whispered. “No one hurts the people I care about. Not anymore.” With a swift punch, she sent the ‘bot flying.

“Get her!” Screecher roared as they all charged at her. Siren smiled like she didn’t have a care in the world, and just evaded their attacks like they were nothing. She kicked Shock across the clearing, Screecher was sent crashing into Electroburst, and Nirtostorm ended up crashing to ground. Siren laughed.

“Is that the best you got?” Siren asked. With a swift kick, Electroburst hit a tree, making it fall down.

“Excellent!” Swindle exclaimed. He and Blackarachnia came out of hiding, and they were both clapping. “My greatest experiment was a success!”

“…What?” Siren asked.

“You, of course!” Swindle replied.

“Siren-” Optimus shouted. He and the Autobots transformed, but stopped short at Prowl, and the sight of Swindle and Blackarachnia.

“What?” Siren whispered as she looked the ‘bots around her. “M-Me?”

“Yes, you! I program all five of you to help build an army for Megatron. You were the test subjects.

“N-No… I’m from the central city of Cybertron!” Siren replied, shaking.

“Yes, you were created there. Your friends short circuited, and you took on a mind of your own. I was wondering when you were going to show yourself. Went and joined the Elite Guard, I see? Interesting. I didn’t know that your programming had it in you.”

“I-”

Blackarachnia laughed at Siren’s shock. “Face, it kid. You’re artificial. ‘Bot made, no creators. Face the facts.”

“N-No. My friends and I…” Siren began, but she stopped. “Could all of those memories have been fake?”

“Quite simple, actually. All I had to do was transpose memories from random ‘bots around the city.” Swindle replied with a grin.

“N-No. I’m…” Siren said, “I’m not a fake. I’m real. I have a spark like everyone else…” Siren trailed off, not sure what to say. What Swindle had said did start to make sense.

“You’re nothing but puppets.” Swindle said. Siren looked back at all of the Autobots. Bumblebee stared at Siren, along with Bulkhead. Ratchet looked away, and Optimus shook a little. Siren looked at Prowl, his still form still with a little bit of color. Siren fell to her knees.

“IF WHAT I REMEMBER IS WRONG, PROVE IT!”

“You’re being difficult.” Swindle said with a sigh. With a quick press of a button on a remote he held, Siren watched Shock, Screecher, Nitrostorm, and Electroburst stand up. Their optics were glowing a faint purple, and had blank expressions on their faces. “Isn’t this enough proof?”

Siren felt everything sink in. “No…”

“Come on, now. We don’t want to bother the Autobots any longer.” Swindle said. He threw something at her, and it exploded in her face.

A think smog enveloped the clearing, and she heard Bumblebee shout, “Siren! Where *cough* are you?”

“Bumblebee!” she shouted. She tried to make her way to her friends, but a firm hand grabbed her arm. Swindle began to drag her backwards. She struggled to free herself, but all of her strength was gone.

“P-PROWL!” she wailed. Suddenly, through the thick smoke, Prowl’s arms reached through, and pulled her out of Swindle’s grasp.

“What the-” Swindle began, but Siren kicked him back into the fog. She felt herself drifting away from everything. She went limp, and felt herself fall against the ground. The faint outline of Prowl’s face was in her view.

“Siren!” she heard him call. She tried to speak, but her voice wouldn’t work. She tried to move her remaining arm, but it didn’t even flinch. She was immobilized, slowly fading away.

‘Prowl…’ she thought sadly, ‘thank you so much… for caring.’ And everything faded away from her. She gave in to the black darkness that she felt consuming what was left of her.
********
Prowl shook Siren as her eyes closed. “Siren! Please… don’t…” he whispered. He gently shifted her in his arms. She didn’t respond. “I don’t care if you were a fake. I want you to stay.”

“Prowl!” Optimus shouted. The smoke cleared, and Ratchet raced over.

“We don’t have much time! We’ve got to get her to the base, pronto!” Ratchet shouted. Swindle, Blackarachnia, and the rest of the‘bots and disappeared, but no one seemed to notice. Racing back to the base, Ratchet tried his best to keep Siren alive.

Many hours later, he came out of the medical room, exhausted. “There’s nothing I can do.” He said simply, choking over the words. “The most I can do is keep her on line, but she may never wake up.”

Prowl felt everything spin out of control. “This is all my fault.” He whispered. He sat down, and stared at the floor. Nothing seemed right anymore.

“So… we’ll never hear her laugh?”Bumblebee asked.

“What don’t you get about ‘not wake up’?” Ratchet asked angrily.

Optimus sighed. “Let’s… try to look on the bright side of things.”

“Like what?” Bulkhead asked. Sari wiped her eyes.

“Did my key do anything to help?”

Ratchet shook his head. “No. I guess she really was… a copy. A clone. Artificial.”

Optimus looked at everyone. They all looked exhausted. “Everyone, let’s try to get some rest. We’ll figure out what to do tomorrow.”
*******
Prowl looked into Siren’s room. He remembered seeing her in there, looking at the birds, or curled up in her bed. He couldn’t sleep. Walking to the medical room, he looked at Siren’s still figure on the table.

She looked just like she was sleeping. Prowl pulled up a chair, and sat next to her, thinking of Siren. Every memory of her began reeling in his head, and he felt like he was going to pass out from the pain. He stood up, and leaned over her.

“I love you…” he whispered as he gently placed a kiss on her lips. He pulled away slowly, and felt his spark ache. He grabbed her shoulders, and embraced her, quietly sobbing into her shoulder. He wanted her to ask him what was wrong, or are you alright. She didn’t move. “Please… don’t leave.”
<><><><>
Somewhere, Siren heard Prowl. “Prowl? PROWL!” she called. She felt herself floating somewhere. She screamed in frustration.

“I DON’T CARE IF I’M A COPY! I-I WANT TO STAY!” she wailed. She collapsed, and felt herself hit something solid. Jumping up in surprise, a small, white light appeared in front of her. It looked warm, and inviting.

“Is this my way out of here?” she asked aloud. Prowl’s voice came from the opposite direction, though. Towards the cold, darker part of the space she was in. She looked at the light. She shook her head. “No, I’ll follow Prowl’s voice.”
<><><><>
Days passed, and Ratchet worried about Prowl. Prowl became more reserved, and hardly came out of his room anymore. He never talked to everyone, and had a shorter temper. His face became paler each day.

“Prowl, you feeling okay?” Bumblebee asked.

“Fine.” Prowl replied as he disappeared down the hallway. Bumblebee just shrugged, and went back to his video game. Until he heard a heavy thunk and Ratchet shouting.
<><><><>
Siren was still sitting in the cold darkness. She began to call this place the Elsewhere, because it was elsewhere from where she wanted to be. She heard someone shouting. It sounded like Ratchet.

‘NO, SLAG IT, WE’RE LOSING HIM!’ he was shouting.

“Losing who?” Siren asked aloud. The light behind her got brighter, and she saw a figure coming towards her. “Prowl?”

Siren ran to him, but he didn’t see her. He walked past her, and stared at the little white behind her. “Prowl! I’m right here!” she tried to grab his hand, but hers went through him.

“Siren…” she heard him mutter.

‘PROWL!’ Ratchet and the Autobots were shouting. Prowl behind her, Siren began to run away from him, towards the voices. She felt herself slip, but she kept moving, until the ground disappeared from her feet. She couldn’t even scream, so she closed her eyes and just fell into the black nothingness.

But after a few minutes, Siren opened her eyes. The ceiling of the medical room came into view, and figure shouting, calling Prowl’s name. She turned to her right, to see the fading color in Prowl’s armor.

“Prowl?” she whispered as she struggled to sit up. Bumblebee gasped.

“Siren!” he said, and everyone turned to see her sit up and turn to Prowl. Ratchet was the only one who didn’t stop moving, trying to keep Prowl alive.
<><><><>
Prowl stood in front of the light. “I… I thought Siren would be here. Perhaps… she’s already left..?” He thought of how Swindle said she was a fake, a copy. A clone, to sum it all up. But she seemed so real.

“But if she was a clone, she wouldn’t go to the well of the Allsparks. She’d just… disappear. “Then what’s the point?” Prowl asked himself as he reached to touch the light white in front of him.

‘PROWL!’ A voice shouted. It was Siren. Prowl took his hand back, and looked at the direction he had just come.

“Siren?” he asked hopefully. He heard some sobs, and her shouting some more.

‘PROWL! PLEASE… DON’T DIE!’ she wailed. Prowl took a step backwards, and began to walk towards the voice. He looked back at the white light.

‘Siren… I don’t think he’s coming back.’ Optimus whispered.

‘NO! HE… HE HAS TO! PROWL!!’

Prowl stared stunned at the empty blackness. “You… mean it?”

‘Siren...’

‘PROWL!’

Prowl wanted to tell Siren that everything was alright. But he didn’t know where she was. He ran away from the light, and it extinguished its self from his view. Like Siren, he ran towards the voices he heard. “Siren…” he whispered. He even jumped over the ledge, and into the hole in front of him.
<><><><>
“PROWL!” Siren wailed. Bulkhead and Bumblebee looked helpless as she shook with sobs. Optimus carefully pulled her away from Prowl, and she sobbed into his shoulder. Optimus put his arms around her uncomfortably.

“It’s alright…” he whispered, “you can cry.”

Ratchet sighed. He slammed his fist into the wall out of frustration. “Prowl! You piece of scrap, don’t die on us!”

Siren couldn’t look at Prowl. “T-This is all my fault!” she mumbled.

“Siren…”

A strangled whisper just managed to escape Prowl’s mouth. Everyone froze, including Ratchet. Siren turned and looked at Prowl. With creaking movements, he struggled for a moment, but sat up. He looked at Siren. Siren’s eyes widened.

“P-Prowl?” she whispered so softly, you could hardly hear it. Siren felt overwhelmed. Prowl was alright. She fell to her knees.

“Siren!” Optimus exclaimed as he tried to help her up. She struggled to her feet, and ran into Prowl’s arms.

“Prowl!” she whispered, as if confirming his existence. He held onto her, not wanting to let go.

“I heard you. You told me not to go, so I didn’t.”

“T-Thank you, Prowl.”
*********
Shock sat amongst his friends. He remembered Siren’s fury. “That… couldn’t be fake.” He whispered. Swindle was somewhere with Blackarachnia, so everyone could rest.

“What, Shock?” Nitrostorm asked.

“What if Siren is right?” Shock asked. He looked at everyone. The gloomy room went along with their moods, and Screecher stood up.

“Don’t start talking trash. Siren thinks she’s better than us, so she just doesn’t believe it. Her memory built a reason why we were missing, simple as that! Swindle told us that, remember?” she growled. Screecher looked at the ground. “That… thing… doesn’t deserve a life of happiness.”

Electroburst looked at the wall. “I… remember when Siren used to smile.”

Screecher turned to him. “Not you too!?”

“I’m just saying. She… really cared for that ‘bot. I could… feel it when she got mad.”

Screecher roared in frustration. She balled her fists, and hoisted Electroburst to his feet. “SO? SHE DOESN’T DESERVE HIM!”

“You’re jealous, Screecher.” Nitrostorm mused. Screecher turned at him, and glared.

“I’m not!”

“Yes, you are. You want to have a happy life like Siren.”

“So?”

Shock got to his feet. “What’s stopping us?”

Screecher dropped Electroburst. “We are different from everyone else! We’re freaks of nature, artificial! We-”

“Don’t deserve a real life.” Swindle finished. “Thank you, Screecher. You seem to be the only one who has any sense amongst the four of you at the moment.”

Nitrostorm thought of Siren. He remembered seeing her go rage like that a few times before, the newest memory fresh in his mind. He tried to remember when he short-circuited, and Siren abandoned them. He couldn’t. All he remembered was hearing screaming from everyone at one point or another. Nitrostorm shuddered.

“Simply, if you really hate Siren, destroy her root of happiness.” Blackarachnia suggested.

“What?” Screecher asked.

“You could destroy the Autobots. That might make things simpler if you want to get even with her.”

Screecher smirked. “Brilliant, Blackarachnia. Thank you for the suggestion.”

-TO BE CONTINUED…
Yeah, I had a little fun writing this one. :D

The truth reveals its self! Siren... IS NOT NORMAL! (Dum dum dummmm) Or at least, acording to Swindle.:hmm:

Prowl really loves Siren. I should draw those two together... they make a cute couple.

I swear, Siren would have fainted if Prowl had died. Instead, he lived, and this was her reaction- :cling: (to a certain extendt)

Then good ol' Screecher has some plans of her own. Tsk, tsk, Screecher.

I wonder why I paired Blackarachnia with Swindle? Those fan fics I was reading a while back must be getting to me.
